In Azerbaijan, there is a president, and the government is divided into three branches. The president is in charge of the legislative and judicial branches. The executive branch includes the president and his administration as well as a prime minister and the cabinet of ministers. The legislative branch of the government consists of 125 parliament members who are also known as Milli Majlis. These members, once elected serve 5 year terms for the government.
